Royal Parade Solitaire

Three rows of foundations and a march toward Kings.

Royal Parade (sometimes called Hussars or Financier) builds three rows of foundations: 2s, 3s and 4s, ascending in steps of 3 to Kings. A clever middle-difficulty patience that rewards spatial planning.

How to play

  1. Deal 24 cards into 3 rows of 8 - the top row holds 2s, middle 3s, bottom 4s as you find them.
  2. Build each foundation up by suit in steps of 3.
  3. Empty spaces in the parade are filled from stock or other parade cards.
  4. Two redeals are allowed.

Strategy & tips

  • Get all four 2s and 3s into position before chasing higher ranks.
  • Don't waste a redeal early - save them for when the parade jams up.
  • An empty parade slot in the middle row is the most flexible.
