Lady Betty is Sir Tommy's slightly more forgiving partner. Same arithmetic, but the player gets a fifth waste pile - meaningful flexibility in a game where every burial is permanent.

How to play Lady Betty

Goal - Move all the cards to the Foundation

  • Built up by suit from Ace to King

Stock

  • The top card of each pile is available for move

Tableau

  • Cards from the Stock can be stacked here in any order
  • The top card can be moved to a Foundation

Strategy & tips

  • Group by rank, not by chronology - keep low ranks on top of waste piles.
  • Reserve at least one waste pile for high ranks (Jacks, Queens, Kings).
  • Don't dump unique low ranks under matching same-rank cards.
