Klondike variant

Klondike (Strict) (Turn 1) Solitaire

The original. The one everyone calls just "solitaire".

Klondike Strict Turn 1 strips away the convenience features of standard Klondike - auto-complete, smart hints, undo on stock pulls - and asks you to solve the deal with no safety net. Same deal as Turn 1, harder edges.

What makes Klondike (Strict) (Turn 1) different

  • Stock turns one card at a time - slower but more deliberate.
  • Strict rules - auto-help, undo or rule-bending shortcuts present in the standard variant are removed.

Strategy & tips

  • Pretend you're playing with physical cards: every move is irreversible. Plan three moves ahead, every time.
  • Strict mode rewards patience over pace - slow down before each foundation play.
  • Play aces and twos to the foundation immediately, but think twice before sending higher cards - you may need them in the tableau.
