Klondike variant

Easthaven Solitaire

The original. The one everyone calls just "solitaire".

Easthaven (sometimes called Aces Up - not to be confused with the discard game of the same name) crosses Klondike with Spider. Stock-deal mechanics from Spider, foundations from Klondike, building down in alternating colour.

Strategy & tips

  • Watch the stock-deal cadence - Easthaven only releases new rows when every column has at least one card.
  • Build long alternating-colour runs you can move as a unit when the stock deals.
  • Play aces and twos to the foundation immediately, but think twice before sending higher cards - you may need them in the tableau.
