Four Seasons Solitaire

A cross of five tableau piles, four corner foundations.

Four Seasons (also Corners, Czarina) lays a cross of five face-up cards: four corners plus one centre. As matching ranks appear, they become the four foundations. The four corners feed in via a single tableau row.

How to play Four Seasons

Goal - Move all the cards to the Foundation

Decks

  • A standard deck (52 cards)

Redeals

  • No

Foundation

  • A card will be the starter card of the foundation. The three other cards of the same rank are placed next to it during play as they become available.
  • An Ace can be placed on the King
  • The top card of each pile is available for move

Tableau

  • Built down by rank
  • A King can be placed on an Ace
  • The top card of each pile is available for move
  • An empty pile can be filled with any card

Stock

  • Press to turn over 1 card from the Stock to the Waste

Waste

  • The top card of each pile is available for move

Strategy & tips

  • Distribute mid-rank cards across all four arms to keep options open.
  • Don't bury a foundation rank - it's lost without a redeal.
  • Czarina lets you build down by alternating colour, easing the squeeze.
