This Privacy Policy explains how Solitaire Royal ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Solitaire Royal mobile application ("App") and the website at solitaireroyal.net ("Website"). We've written it in plain English; legal terms are linked where helpful.
1. What we collect
The App is designed to work without an account. We collect the following information only:
- On-device data: game progress, statistics, win streaks, customization choices (decks, backgrounds, layout). This data lives on your device unless you opt into cloud sync.
- Optional cloud sync: when enabled, we store an encrypted backup of your progress in your own iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android). We don't have access to this backup.
- Anonymous crash reports: if the App crashes, we receive a stack trace and basic device info (model, OS version, App version). This data is not linked to you personally.
- Aggregated usage stats: counts of which games are played most, average session length, feature usage. We use these to prioritize what to build next. No identifiers are stored.
- Purchase records: Apple and Google maintain the actual purchase records. We receive a receipt token to validate Premium status - no payment details ever touch our servers.
2. What we don't collect
- We do not require an email, phone number, or social login.
- We do not collect contacts, photos, location, or microphone data.
- We do not include third-party advertising SDKs in the App.
- We do not sell or rent your data.
3. Cookies and the Website
This website is a static marketing site. It does not set first-party cookies. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool (currently no analytics is configured) to count page views in aggregate. If we add analytics in the future, this section and our cookie banner will be updated accordingly.
4. Third-party services
The App and Website integrate with the following services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
- Apple App Store - distribution, in-app purchases, optional iCloud sync.
- Google Play - distribution, in-app purchases, optional Google Drive sync.
- RevenueCat - handles subscription receipt validation. Stores anonymous user IDs, subscription status, country.
- Crash reporting (e.g. Sentry) - receives anonymized crash reports. No personal data attached.
5. Children's privacy
The App is rated suitable for ages 4 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App requires no account creation and no personal data is solicited at any point during gameplay.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the information we hold about you. Because we hold so little personal data, most rights apply only to the anonymous usage and crash data described above. 7. Data retention
Anonymous crash reports are kept for 90 days then deleted. Aggregated usage stats are retained indefinitely in non-identifying form. On-device data is retained until you delete the App. Cloud-sync backups follow your iCloud / Drive retention rules - we do not store them on our servers.
8. Security
We use industry-standard technical safeguards, including HTTPS for all network communication and encrypted storage for cloud-sync backups. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to fix issues quickly when discovered.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may store data in countries outside your own. We rely on standard contractual clauses and other lawful mechanisms to protect transfers across borders.
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, surface a notice in the App or on the Website before the change takes effect.
